For hundreds of thousands of years we’ve been here. Magic users, demons, angels, Fae, were-kin; any type of mythological creature, we’re really here. I’m Natalia Vera, the Demon of Temptation. At the dawn of humanity, I tempted Adam and Eve into their fall. I destroyed humanity in a selfish desire to gain my father, Lucifer’s, affection. I also serious pissed off my sister, an angel in the Highest’s army.
My sister was the only one of us who didn’t fall. Her wings turned black though because of her own temptation. She became known as the Atra Angelica or Dark Angel. She was assigned to protect the Garden of Eden, but I snuck in past her in the form of a simple snake. I mocked her once the mortal’s fall had been discovered. In her rage she almost attacked me, but was held back by her second-in-command, the Levis Angelus. Instead, around a thousand years later when I got thingy, she tricked me into to eating some of the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge. It gave me a conscience which eternally reminds me that I damned an entire race out of greed.
These days I run a club in New York City. I lead the demons on the East Coast. My control extends down to Florida and up through all of New England. My control ends though before Illinois. The South is controlled by a Voodoo sorceress Tanta Maria. Her control extends from Alabama to Arizona, up to Kentucky. Missouri is also under her control for some strange reason. The Midwest is controlled by Robert Wildhorse, a were-wolf. His control extends from Illinois to Montana, down to Kansas. The West Coast is controlled by Eric Danes, a vampire. He controls from California to Idaho.
For the past two hundred years or so, we’ve been having problems. Demons have been popping up in places they shouldn’t be and twenty years ago all hell almost broke loose. Seriously; a powerful demon known simply as Abraxax tried to open up the Gate to Hell in the middle of New York City so he could free my father, my mother, the original Sin and my twin brother, Death. We barely managed to defeat him. Then I get a damn phone call from Eric. My sister, the Atra Angelica had been reborn close to four years prior to the powerful Shane family. She’d been named Lena Aurora Shane. Now I knew we were in danger.
After my sister failed to protect the parents of the human race from the temptations of the Fallen, she offered her service to eternally protect them from our harm. Every time something truly destructive to man kind is coming, she’s reborn into the human race. She can still take her angel form however. The last time she was reborn was in time for her to be an adult during WWII. I’m terrified that this will be the worst yet. She was born post Abraxax which means, he was only the beginning. And now, twenty years later, it seems that its all about to come to head.
