[/navy] [W] Language may be a problem. Daisuke + Private
Landing at the edge of the bridge, Brody transformed back to his original body. As he stood on the bridge, he looked at the dimming sky. The night was beginning to get cold but nothing a coat wouldn't stop. And with that, Brody pushed his over-sized, black coat over his body. He looked at his cold hands, there were still a few feathers on them from his transformation. He knew he shouldn't have flown so far. Now the feathers wouldn't go away for a while. Though he was worried, Brody did not show it and sat down next to the rails of the stairs leading down to the subway. But before sitting all the way down, he checked to see if the rails were made of silver. They didn't seem to be made of the cursed material, and he sat down but didn't lean against them. There wasn't much happening on the streets. It was cold and still for the most part. There were those few stragglers walking along from working late that night. And there were those teenagers messing around with old people or homeless men. Other than these few disturbances, the night was somewhat calming. Brody was feeling abnormally calm today. It seemed as though nothing were happening this night, and maybe this is what made him so calm. Normally he would be on the edge and ready to run. Not this night, however, he was too relaxed to do anything. Brody heard the nearby footsteps of a few people. He couldn't tell if it was just a few people or a large group. It's not like his ears were any good, he didn't have much animal instinct inside of him. He was one of the calmer animal types. Swans, by nature, aren't the most outgoing birds of the bunch anyway. Brody heard footsteps once more after a large pause, but once again did nothing. He looked down and looked at the black, flat gum sticking to the stairs. Even though this was disgusting, Brody didn't mind and kept to himself in the dimming skies.[/ul]

Daisuke softly stepped his way down the street with a grace only cats have. His shoes made no sound against the pavement as he walked along it, hands in pockets and eyes trained on the street beside him as well as the cars passing by his in a blur. Most people were obviously trying to get home before the night fully came about, which was reasonable considering the amount of supernaturals wandering these very streets. Daisuke didn't really mind however because he was a Werelion, one of the bigger lycanthorpes around. He could hold his own in a fight should one arise, even with a vampire, even if he really did not enjoy fighting. To him violence was useless outside of getting food for yourself as well as feeding your family. He sighed lightly at this thought and turned his attention to a small couple passing by, a small child in between them, grasping onto both of their hands tightly. He met the eyes of both parents and smiled softly at them, them returning it rather quickly before they passed fully.
The smile remained on his face as he turned to watch the child, a small girl no more than four or five years old, dragging her parents. Trying to, actually. She wasn't getting too far too soon though because the parents seemed protective over her. His eyes reflected a sad sort of happiness at this from behind tinted sunglasses. Sure, it was nighttime and he really didn't need to wear such things, but he'd grown accustomed to them during the day and just didn't feel right without them. After all, he could see in the dark anyway, so what did it matter? The laughter of the child brought him from his thoughts as he turned his gaze on the small girl once more. Her parents were swinging her between them as she giggled happily at it. It was obvious she was having fun, oblivious to the dangers of the nighttime just yet. He only wished he could have been as carefree at that age.
A few moments later and the trio were out of his sight and he had to force himself to pay attention to the road ahead of him. As he did so though, starting to walk once more, he noticed a silhouette sitting on the edge of the bridge, looking up at the sky. For a moment he wondered just why the person had chose that spot, but as he looked closer, he could see a few feathers lying about the person's body and immediately he scented the air for evidence of what he thought was true and indeed it was. The person was no person at all, but a Werecreature. More than likely a swan from the looks of it. Being as he was already walking in the direction the Were was he figured he might as well lend some company to the creature who looked quite alone. Maybe they wanted company. Maybe not. He was going to find out though.
Padded silently closer, he crouched next to the silhouette's side and looked over at him, momentarily forgetting the sunglasses resting on the bridge of his nose. "You okay?" He questioned softly, arms coming to rest upon his thighs as he remained in a crouching posture. "Need some company?" A soft smile played about on his lips to assure the other there wasn't some underlying reason behind his questions other than him just being nice.

Daisuke remained in his crouching position as he waited on a response, unsure if he really should have intruded on the other's space or not. He'd never really encountered a swan before, so their mannerisms didn't quite click with him just yet. They were so different from lions, he knew, so he needed to be cautious in watching them, but not because the other might be a threat; more so because Daisuke himself would seem more the threat. That was of course the last thing he wanted when encountering someone. The impression he always wanted to give off was one of kindness, his true nature, but judging from the swan's reaction to him, he could guess that wasn't the kind of air he gave off to him. Mentally he sighed at this. He really disliked being a lion sometimes. It really hindered you in making friends with other Werecreatures.
As the other shifted his feet to hide the feathers, Daisuke merely smiled knowingly and chuckled a bit. "It's alright. No need to hide that from me." He spoke up a moment later, noticing the worried look within the other's eyes. As the other shuffled a bit away from him though, he almost thought he was trying to get away from him since he didn't speak, but since the movement was not frantic or anything of the like, Daisuke took it as assent to sit down next to him and thus he did just that, crossing his legs Indian style and pulling off his sunglasses as he did so. His feminine eyes were revealed then as he attached the glasses to his shirt and turned his gaze over towards the swan seated next to him. Did he know that he was a lion? Were swans capable of such scenting? Daisuke wanted to ask, but knew that would be rude. Instead he just sat there quietly.
When he noticed the other wasn't going to speak though, he turned his attention to the setting sun for a moment before going back to the other. "So...what's your name?" He questioned gently, hoping he wasn't seeming rude in asking. The other didn't really seem like he wanted to talk, but Daisuke figured he'd try conversing with him anyway. For all he knew the other might just not have anything to talk about. Maybe nothing came to his mind. Daisuke mentally shrugged at this and looked towards the other a bit apprehensively as he waited on an answer. It was as if he felt he was overstepping some unspoken boundary or something by disturbing this creature's peace and quiet, but he couldn't help it. The swan had seemed so lonely sitting by himself and Daisuke couldn't ignore something like that. Not with the way his persona was.

As the other seemed to be contemplating something, Daisuke turned his gaze towards the setting sun, enjoying the view from the bridge. He'd never really came here just to look at the sun before, so this was quite new to him. Not that that was of course a bad thing. Daisuke liked new experiences, good ones of course, so this was definitely a plus for him. For a moment it seemed almost to fade into the back of his mind the apprehension he'd been feeling towards disturbing this creature's space. It wasn't as if he was exactly making a move to push him away either, so that helped it along just a bit. This caused a soft smile to erupt across his feminine facial features, but his gaze still didn't turn back to Brody so long as he was silent. To Daisuke, it would be like putting pressure on the other to watch him as he awaited an answer.
Once he did receive a vocal answer though, he was surprised to hear the French accent and words come from his mouth. He hadn't expected the other to be French, but not that it really mattered as a moment later he translated for himself. This caused Daisuke to nod and turn his watchful gaze upon the swan yet again. "No reason. Just wondering. I'm Daisuke, by the way." He replied softly, eyes trained upon the other for only a few moments longer before drifting off to the sunset once more. Now he truly was contemplating on whether or not to get up. Sure, Brody seemed not to mind him, at least it wasn't evident in his tone of voice, but Daisuke kept getting the vague motion he was being rude without meaning to towards the other by speaking to him. It made him purse his pouty lips in thought.
"So you're a Wereswan, correct?" The question was murmured with quite a bit of caution as Daisuke had decided to keep on with trying to get a conversation started with the creature beside him. He paused for a moment after his words before carefully considering what he was going to speak next. "I'm a Werelion if you haven't already noticed." His kindness still seeped through his voice even as he kept his voice low to where only Brody could hear him. The last thing he wanted was for a human for vampire to come by and hear him speaking of such a thing. It could get the two of them in quite a lot of trouble, he knew. Humans because they were afraid of their kind and vampires because they liked to control their kind. Two different ways of getting in trouble, but with nearly the same result.

Daisuke watched with a light smile on his face as the hesitance played across Brody's face. This creature sure was skeptical about people wasn't he? Not that this particularly bothered Daisuke. He would be hesitant as well if someone just came up and started conversing with him for no visible reason as he had with Brody. It made him wonder if he had given the other the wrong impression when he's came over and sat beside him. Mentally shrugging at that thought though, he turned his gaze to the darkening sky, light brown eyes beginning to turn a darker shade in response to such a change in his surroundings. His eyes tended to do this a lot and he never noticed them because naturally he couldn't see his eyes when he was out like this. It would be a bit odd if he could though. Quite odd, actually.
Blinking a bit at the question, Daisuke's attention turned back to the swan beside him, a smile playing about on his lips still as he saw Brody was smiling too, even if it was small. "Well, your scent for one...and then the feathers added onto it." He smiled in response, chuckling a bit at it even as he did. Not particularly thinking the question or answer to it had been funny, but more or less it was something that he hoped would cause the other to stop being so on-guard around him. He understood putting up one's guard against outside forces if one had been hurt many a time, more so than he liked to admit, so he was by no means hoping to make him drop his guard completely. Just enough so he wouldn't be so tense. Daisuke knew he himself was no threat to the other and he hoped to convey that.
His eyes showed happiness as he looked over at the other once he'd spoken. "So do you come here often?" Maybe he could keep the conversation going and get the other to open up just a bit. Daisuke was someone who enjoyed being trusted and looked to for comfort and help, that much was easily seen in how much he loved and helped children, so while he didn't expect it from everyone, it certainly wouldn't be unwelcome in the slightest. Daisuke had a way about him that gave off how motherly he really was despite being a male; a male lion, no less. He could be trusted with any secret, he'd back people up in fights, help you get out of things, anything you wanted. All for nothing in return, but your appreciation and acknowledgment. It was odd, yes, but all the truth when it came to this young Werelion.
