[W] Slight language, more probably coming. TAGS: Private + killian mayour.
The silence was certainly disconcerting; the only sounds where the footfalls of one’s feet and the croaking of the skeletal ravens that where perched upon a branch in the distance. A castle-like structure loomed ahead, it was a church. The architecture was beautifully carved with scenes of fallen angels and gargoyles, the atmosphere was calming to a soul such as Jennifer Renoa. Her foot stepped upon a twig, the cracking sound woke the crows from their lazy perch, off in a flash of midnight wings, disappearing into the inky sky. The din from their cawing seemed to echo several times before coming completely silent once again.
Why was she here? Jennifer was merely exploring the areas that had been rumored to be concentrated with beings of her own kind, vampires. Several feet forward the entrance to the church seemed both frightening and welcoming in its own way. She wasn’t spineless, but decided for the better of her welfare that she leave and go somewhere else, the emptiness played games with her open mind, causing her to see mirages of others that weren’t really there. Several steps back too her to the path that she had started upon, another step took her into a thorn bush, the braches seemed to reach out to her, to scratch and torment her. Her body wasn’t injured, but she was very frightened, the black silk skirt so carefully chosen was now in ruin, the bottom tattered and worn. Once again, her feet found the path, and she began to run faster than before, desperate to get away.
Though Jennifer disliked crowds immensely, they where good at losing one’s self in, taking a break from reality and mingling with the innocent humans. The dark glamour that seemed to emit from her very skin always seemed to attract unwanted attention, thus she always wore the most regular clothes, such as sweatshirts and maybe jeans. Today she had decided to wear a silk skirt, a small tribute to the church that she thought that she might enter, but alas, fear had kept her away.
The violet blouse was still intact, its cropped sleeves ended at the elbows. Shaking out her long hair, she let her long curling hair cascade down her shoulders with a waterfall effect. Looking down, the girl examined her skirt, the bottom was ripped in several places and there was a tear leading to about her mid thigh. Nothing too slutty, she could deal with it. With a sigh of relief, she sat upon a bench; the same one as the day before, and leaned her head into her hands to think.

Out and about on such a lovely evening, Killian was. He couldn't stand to be cooped up for oh-so long. He understood the consequences of what could happen since he was out in the moonlit night. With his hands in his pockets and his face tilted downward, Killian found himself just wondering around aimlessly. He didn't know where he was going or what he would do once he got there. Every once in a while the six foot, five inches male found himself peering up at the moon. Did he think it was going to change miraculously into a full moon? Or was it just a habit?
As he kept walking he pulled a cigeratte out of his pocket along with his lighter. Placing it between his lips, he attempted to light it. As he kept flicking the lighter and once in a while shaking it, he kept trying to light the damn cigeratte.
"Tonight must not be my night."
He huffed. After saying this, the cigeratte finally lit. Taking a few puffs here and there, Killian just chilled in the middle of the side walk. As he was about to take his puff he was knocked into by some girl.
"Watch where you're going."
He stated in a pissy mood. Killian never meant to sound mean but once he was smoking he didn't really want to be bothered or knocked into. But then he started to wonder if the girl was okay or if she was being chased by one of those stupid vampire freaks. Even though his sister was one, he didn't like the others.

[OCC] So sorry for the terrible post, I'm dead tired. Her eyes rolled over to the man standing there, a cigarette in one hand. His look was lazy, and he had a confident swing about him - just the type that seemed to loath people like her- the ones who don't follow the rules, and get extremely and uncontrollably pissed off. Her shoulder accidentally bumped into his and she lost her balance. 'Watch whe you're going.' The boy growled, loud enough for her to hear. He was a shifter, she could tell that much by his scent.
"Asshole."
The pretty brunette kept her voice low, so he wouldn't hear her, Jen liked to start trouble, it was like kicking a nest of bees. Dark ;lashes swept over her dark eyes, and she seemed to stop moving, but in reality she had just slowed down.
The girl only walked several feet before stopping again, and turned. She wanted to give the guy a punch in the face, just for being rude, but consoled herself with some nasty insults. Annoyance replaced the fright that had overtaken her body, and her heartbeat quickened. Annoyance was one of the emotions that lead to anger, and anger lead to fighting; something that she loved dearly.
Her body swung around to face him, yet again. Posture read confrontational and pissed off. Yet again, her consious told her that she was overreacting severely, but Jen ignored it. She squinted, dark eyes covered with a veil of sparkly eye lids, the makeup that had been so carefully brushed on.

Asshole? Him? No, never. Killian once again wasn't trying to be mean. And yes, he did hear what the girl had said. The only thing he liked about being a wereleopard was the heightened senses such as, hearing and smelling. He loved the hearing par the most. When people thought they were whispering quietly to themselves, Killian could still hear them. It was great. This girl's style was definitely read high maintenance and was also very rude. He didn't like rude people that much. He couldn't understand that girls had their moments but he didn't that would lap over into the undead.
"Excuse me is what I meant to say."
He said apologetically throwing the cigeratte bud on the ground and stomping it out. Killian knew how much of a bad habit smoking was but it never did bother him. Continually starring down at the ground, Killian was afraid that this chick was going to put him in one of those hypnotic things. He didn't want to be caught, then eaten by a vampire. . . especially a girl. It wasn't very manly.
Mumbling under his breath he managed to surpass an apology through his lips. Killian didn't know what more he could say to the girl. He didn't want to get in her business or anything but he was so damn curious. Curious about everything and anything.
"Uhmm, I'm Killian."
He stated, running his fingers through his hair. He didn't dare mention his last name. Killian knew that if he mentioned his last name that she would know that he was related to Katina. All the vampires knew one another in some way or another. To him, that was kind of creepy. Clearing his throat, Killian opened his mouth to ask.
"What's your name?"

Jen rolled her eyes, insincere much? Highly doubting that he was being serious, she flicked her hair back; a gesture that was just used to fill that silence. As if he was sorry, as if he really cared who she was. None the less, she didn't want to seem even more rude that she had aalready shown herself to be.
"Call me Jen."
That was just vague enough to keep him from knowing whom she was. The scent of shifter was on him, and she guessed that he was one of then. Killian, Jen had never heard that name before. her head bobbed down, a small nod. The frustrations that had piled inside her head seemed to cease pounding, and slowly the annoyance died away. The petite girl took a deep breath, he face stolid and tense, as if thinking about that castle-church. the frightened thoughts must have reflected on her face - she expected her eyes to be shut tight, trying to dispel the eerie feeling.
"So who are you really?"
The words just seemed to pop out randomly. Last name, species, anything. It seemed that Jen was slightly crazed, her eyes half closed, the posture still tensed as if she was ready to fight. She finger brushed her long hair over her eyes, to hide the expression on her face. Crazed as she seemed, Jen was just tired. The day had been wearing on her, slowly devouring the last of her energy until she could almost no longer stand. Nightmarish thoughts ran through her head at rapid speed, though nothing could hurt her, Jen still feared some things. A deep breath calmed her, and the teenager forced herself to look at the other directly in the eye, waiting for a response.

OOC sorry it took me so long to post.
Nodding at the sound of the girl's name and which he would from now on call her, Killian knew right away that the girl didn't want to be there. He could tell by the way she had responded to him and her pose. For some reason he was having a bit of deja vu and as if this had already happened sometime before, like in a dream. Except in his dream he couldn't see the person's face and he definitely didn't know their name.
Killian kept his eyes on the ground as he rummaged around in his pockets for another cigeratte. He wasn't a chain smoker but when he got nervous that's the only thing that calmed him. He caught a glimpse of this girl, Jenn's face. She seemed to still be scared. Rocking back on his heels, he blew the smoke up into the midnight colored sky. He loved how the moon and stars were the only thing you could see and not city lights. City lights were as magnificent as the stars. Plus, stars had more of a story than a city light.
"Well," he began. "I am a human being that has some issues that I'm not willing to share." he said jokingly, letting out a few laughs here and there. "I'm just Killian Mayour. I don't know what more you want from me." he ended. The twenty-three year old wasn't so sure on what the girl was asking. Was she asking what kind of species he was or what? He shrugged, taking another drag and blowing it in to the night sky. "So what were you running from...if you don't mind me asking that is."

“Human?”
Jen quirked an eyebrow, a smirk slid onto her stolid face, breaking off the scared look. The smirk was more becoming; her bright eyes glinted with the slightest bit of knowing. A breeze smoothed a lock of dark hair over her eye, hiding her expression from Killian for the merest moment, a breath of air from her lungs blew it back to the side, out of her face and out of her rang of vision.
Eyes watched the man take out another cigarette, Jen wanted to say to something about the effects of smoking, but she held her tongue and the moment was gone. Did were creatures die? She had never asked one, nor did the girl plan to. Asking if you could die was the biggest giveaway, as if someone would just come out and ask ‘does your species die?’ Hah, she almost laughed out loud to herself. If only he could read her mind, that would be quite creepy.
The smoke trail blew upwards, away from the two people standing on the sidewalk. They looked very much alone, just standing there with faceless people drifting past them, each with their own agenda and merely ignoring the couple. So what were you running from...if you don't mind me asking that is." The question itself resounded in her mind for several moments before halting, and deciding on an answer. She carefully picked through the choices, as if the truth was an acceptable response.
“Life.”

Killian thought back to what he said. This had confused him. He wasn't really human but neither was he dead. So how did that work out? Bringing the cigeratte up to his face, he stared at it with intense boredom then placing it between his lips. It was one of those things that helped but he didn't like doing it.
"Uhh, not really human."
He countered. Killian John Mayour couldn't think of something to say. It was so hard to actually think of how to put what he was in words without actually saying it. Too bad there really wasn't a way. Okay, okay...ughh! He argued with himself. The twenty-three year old hated how this one person in his head thought he was God and could tell him to tell the truth. This God character made him do everything that he didn't.
"I'm a wereleopard. And my sister is Katina Mayour."
He paused, stomping out the cigeratte butt. Sighing he hated telling people his business especially if they were from the other species. Life seemed to be the answers these days. But he had one question for the mysterious Jen, but wasn't willing to open his mouth this time and actually ask. He wanted to know how someone could have a life when they're dead. Shrugging off the question and immediately forgetting it, Killian sighed once more.
"Life seems to be a good answer."

A smirk crossed her face, the girl hadn't really expected a full out explanation. The name he spoke rang a bell in her head, she recognized it. A fellow vampire? That must make thanksgiving parties awkward. A vampire and a were. How odd. Images of them having arguments ran through her head an she stifled a laugh behind an unmanicured hand. Hell, she got into too much trouble to have to deal with keeping her nails chip-free. The makeup this morning had been on a whim, normally she didn't bother with such foolishness.
The cigarette crushed beneath his foot caused her to speak. Smoke drifted pathetically up from the smoking cylinder as if it was dying. The last spark of ember died out, and it turned grey. A deposited of ash spewed from it, like a last dying breath. It was so like her to compare a cigarette with dying, she didn't exactly obsess about dying, she couldn't. It was impossible for her species. But she was able to look at it from a distance.
"You're trouble."
The words spoke themselves. She had no part in saying such things. What an odd thing to say to a new acquaintance. Trouble. She didn't mind it at all. In fact she was very much attracted to it. Trouble brought entertainment. She loved entertainment.
"I don't mind trouble."
These words sounded suggestive. Jennifer wondered how he might react to such flirtations. Flirting was always fun for her to do, like a game of cat and mouse. She of course was the cat.

Killian looked up in enough time to see the girl with a smile on her face. Something he had said or done had made her smile. It was kind of odd though, not knowing what he did for her to do that. I guess girls don't need a reason to smile. He thought to himself. The brunette didn't know how to put things very well to the other gender it was somewhat hard, even though he has a sister. But not being able to see his sister that much drives him crazy. He is supposed to be taking care of her. How can he when weres and vampires aren't supposed to be seen together? It was a lot of sneeking around going on, that's for sure.
Trouble? Killian? He couldn't be that much trouble. Yeah, sure for a boy he was a tad bit high maintenance but he wasn't that bad. "How can I possibly be trouble?" putting his hand upon his chest, giving a short laugh. He didn't like his laugh to much. It wasn't very audibly and it always sounded like a squeak of some sort. Not like a mousey squeak just a squeak.
Was this some kind of sick joke that vampires played on their prey. It felt like Jen was trying to lead him onto something or real him in. In enough to suck him dry. This could be dangerous, yes. But he was willing to embark on a vigorous journey. Moving closer to his suspect, he looked carefully into her eyes.
"Oh really."
He spoke giving a soft smile. This flirting was going to get to him, he just knew it. Killian's the kind of person who seems to fall for the wrong type of people, or so people tell him. He never knows who is right. But right now this felt right. With the exception of his heart rate going up.

[OCC] Haha, Jen is being her evil self. xD
The reaction that she got from the other was to be expected. Though he had a sort of wary look to him, the small smile overwhelmed the cautious look in his eyes. Jennifer really wasn't that dangerous, nor was she this flirty to just anyone. The idea of being near one of such a different species excited her, and it tempted her to behave in a way that was considered promiscuous to some.
"Oh really." The denial that he razed seemed not to be heard to her, just the second part, it sounded more interesting to her. As he moved closer she breathed in his scent. Not too bad for a wereanimal, she had to admit.
The other had reacted quite well to the flirtatious says that she had spoken, that just made her want to try harder. Eyelashes cascaded down over dark blue eyes as she reached out to touch his shoulder. her vampiric instincts screamed against such movements, but she ignored it.
"Well... Maybe I should be scared of you."
Though vampires where strong, they where always cautious of their enemies, big or small. A wereleopard might prove to be an issue to her if they became angry at each other, though she could outrun him, the fear of what could happen might kill her. (Not literally of course.) Her tone was sultry, that certainly watched her actions. Her slim left had rested carelessly on his shoulder, and her eyes where still half-closed, like a restful cat lazing in the sunny shadow of the sun.

He watched her blue eyes shimmer in the moonlight. He envied people that had blue eyes. Blue was such a cool color to have for eyes. It was way better than having dark brown eyes. It was such a dull color to have. It matched his hair which was also dark brown. Smirking, Kilian watched Jen make her moves. It wasn't a funny it just made 'feel good' feeling which he didn't feel a lot with girls.
Feeling like he was the prey and Jen was the predator, who was dominant and liked to take over. Killian knew that he had to make a move somewhere in there so he could have that manly feeling back instead of feeling like a mouse on a string. He moved a little bit closer and slowly started to place his hand around the girl's waist. Dangerous move or not, he honestly didn't care. She was attracted for being part of the undead.
"Why should you be scared of me?"
He whispered softly in her ear. The brunette could feel her hand resting softly on his his shoulder. He thought back to what his sister had said about his shoulders. They weren't girly but they aren't masculine either. Killian felt differently about his shoulders. He thought that were muscular enough to tell that they belonged to his body and not someone else. He was attempted to kiss her but they had just met and that wouldn't be a smart move to make at this very moment.

A hand reached down to touch her waist, and she moved subtly to the side, but not quick enough. The touch was like an electric shock, it both surprised her and made her want to continue with the fraternizing, regardless of where it might lead. His answer resounded in her ears, he must know by now that she was a vampire, it was fairly obvious to those other supernaturals, like weres.
"Why should you be scared of me?" Ah, the countless answers that she could respond with whirled through her mind. Perhaps she should just let the question drift off into nothingness, and start a question of her own. Honestly, the girl did not want to draw attention to the fact that she was a vampire, it he knew, then it didn't matter. If he didn't, it didn't matter exactly either.
Also like a cat, she leaned in on the slight pressure that was being exerted on her waist. It was pleasant, and sent a shiver up her spine. But, if the hand moved anywhere higher (or lower) she would move. Though she was considered to be more sultry than most, she did have her limits. And they did just meet.
The movement of his face toward hers surprised her. Killian didn't seem like the type to take advantage of the moment, she turned her head, so that her lips were out of reach. Slowly, her grasp on his shoulder slackened, and she slid it down to about his back. The boy was taller than she, and it was hard to keep it at such a higher height.
"Because..."
The answer was drawn off, she didn't feel like elaborating. The situation was funny, she found the man attractive, and by his actions he must have found her to be at least decent. Two species together, just met, and he already though he could kiss her. No, she wasn't that easy.

Feeling a little disturbed by the girl's answer to his question made him feel somewhat uneasy. How was he supposed to deal an answer like 'because'. It seemed to be one of the many responses that he hated. Only because he tended to dwell on them for long periods of time, just trying to figure out what it exactly meant. And with Jen's response, it was going to take a while to decipher, seeing on how he couldn't exactly see what she was thinking.
Killian could feel her body getting closer to his. He could sense that she was actually enjoying what he was doing. The brunette felt a smirk play across his face. Was it happiness or just the thought of actually having someone to talk rather than his inner self. The young man let his grip on the girl loosen, slowly taking a few steps back. The sudden movement that he made startled himself. What was he doing? Was he feeling a small emotion for the girl? Or was it that he sensed something else?
It was exactly that.
"Y-your a..." he drifted off, titling his head like a little puppy would do when it was confused. He knew how the vampire race could hypnotize people or other creatures into doing what they wanted. It honestly started to get to him. Killian wasn't sure if the girl, Jen, was just doing it on her own or if she was using her powers so she could get a free meal. "Are you trying to eat me?" he blurted abruptly, coving his mouth quickly. Sometimes his mouth would get away from him and that deserved a smack in the face.
Peering down at the sidewalk, disappointed with himself. He hadn't meant to ask such an absurd question such as that. He didn't even actually know if the girl was a real vampire. She could've just been hanging around one and didn't know it and just had the scent of one on her. "Sorry." he mumbled, tucking a few hairs behind his ear.

"Eat you?"
Jennifer sighed, stepped a few feet away from him. One of the reasons that the question bothered her was the vampires didn't eat people. A second was, that she had no intention of attacking him or even hurting him. Jennifer simply was flirting, and apparently he couldn't take the fact that she had the scent of vampire.
Slowly, as if awakening from a dream, she took a few steps to the left, off the curb. She tangled her hand through her hair, leaving it roughened slightly. Why the hell would she eat him? Maybe the question would have bothered her less if he hadn;t used that particular verb. Damnit, now the only thing that she wanted was to leave, and find some of her own kin to see.
They would never accuse her of going to eat them. The sound of her shoe hitting the pavement was louder than she expected, due to the fact the she thought the drop was slightly larger than it truly was. The heel of it broke off, splintering in two places.
"Dammit."
The simple statement that was tre overused. This time she had an actual reason for using that particular cuss word. The station had gotten too nasty for her preference, her and quick escape had been cut off by carelessness. Dark eyes sought out the figure that had just accused her of the unthinkable. She might as well just dismiss herself.
"Nice meeting you..."
Nice, Jennifer had avoided confrontation, but how to escape? Her apartment was many blocks away, and her stress level was high. Ughh. Another step, and the imbalance of her shoes caused her to lose her balance. Luckily there was a wall right next to her, and she grabbed for it to avoid falling.
Sending a nasty look in Killian's direction, she plopped down on the sidewalk. As her shoes where thin, she wore no socks. Eying the broken glass that was shattered on the cement, she sighed. Either she would look really stupid and risk falling, or she would walk around with no shoes. Stepping on glass might effect her reputation. Ohmygosh, its that girl that doesn't get hurt. She walked on broken glass and nothing happened. That would suck. Picturing herself as an exhibit at a zoo, her eyes scanned the area for something to do, anything. Right now, life sucked.

Killian didn't mean to offend the girl. It was just, well, it just wasn't right unless he actually knew the her before she became one of them. He watched her for a minute or two, then looking to the ground as he always seemed to do during an awkward moment. When he finally got up enough courage, he found himself walking towards the end of the sidewalk to sit with her. He felt his pockets to see if any of his cigs were still in there.
None.
That wasn't good. He would have to deal with his nervousness a different way then. Looking over to her to see what she was doing, Killian lowered his head. "Sorry....again." he mumbled, almost inaudible. He didn't want Jen to stay mad at him. Plus, he was beginning to like her. She wasn't as crazy as some of them were. She was in fact, quieter and not all talk.
Hearing her say 'nice meeting you' automatically gave him the impression that she was ready to leave, but she wasn't moving any. "Well..." he paused. "I'm not totally done meeting you yet." He grinned. Killian didn't know if he was going to have to explain what that meant exactly, but just in case he held the thought in his mind.
Peering up at the night sky, he could feel her giving him a nasty expression. Chuckling a bit, Killian finally took a seat next to her. It was funny how some girl's actually thought giving a mean look will do something... and they're right, it does. It makes Killian laugh to the extent of where it's not over bearing or just stupid sounding. "Nice night isn't it?"

Gah, no muse.
Bah, he couldn't take a hint, could he? Jennifer would much rather be back at the old ruins that be here, stuck next to someone who obviously was a wimp... She let out a sigh. Somehow his answer to her dismissal was rather lame, he hadn't been meeting her, they had been obviously flirting and so close to actually kissing.
Now, the only emotion that she felt toward him was the urge to hit him, or slap him. Jen hasn't ever even bitten anyone, as a vampire. The idea of cursing someone else made her feel ill. Things like this happened to cursed folk like her.
He mentioned something about the night, she wasn't in the mood to converse. A captive audience until another solution would come to mind. Ugh, he hadn't even seemed to notice her shoe issue, as if he would care.
"Sure.. Nice night..." Her sarcasm was quite obvious in the sulky tone that she aquired.

OOC It's okay
Hearing the sarcasm in her voice, Killian raised a brow. He could sense Jen's emotions that were running through her. He felt bad that he had opened his mouth about her being a vampire and the meeting thing. The night seemed to be going slow now that Jen and him weren't talking. It wouldn't be that big of a deal if he wasn't attracted to her. Standing up, he walked out to the road. He turned on his heal to face Jen again. Only being about two feet away from her, Killian held out his semi-pale hand in her direction. The brunette made a come on motion with his head.
"C'mon."
He encouraged. Killian wanted to show her something that maybe, just maybe she would appreciate. Subconsciously skeptical of his plan, he was trying to make an effort. An effort to at least please the girl. He didn't mind the flirting just not out on in the open where people could spy on them. He didn't want to get in trouble with his clan. Plus, he knew how The Kiss would feel if they saw him with one of their precious jewels. That was the main reason Killian had to sneak around to see his sister - all because he wasn't one of them and was considered their enemy. Honestly the boy didn't like the whole fighting scene unless it called for it.
His expression was hidden by the darkness, but you could tell he was a bit of a better mood. Giving the same come one motion with his head, he waited for the attractive young lady to take his hand so they could hide from the spies. As he waited he started to hum a tune from one of his favorite bands, Metallica. He didn't really care if he was doing it where she could hear. His patience started to wear thin.
"Please come on and make up your mind."
His voice aggravated now. Right would be a good to time to swipe a cigeratte from someone.

Was it a trick? Or was the suggestion meant on no way harmful to her. You never know, thought Jen. Though she might have been being over cautious. There was no way that he could harm her, as Jennifer was an immortal. So was he, though.
Making up her mind in a single instant, she trotted over and grabbed his hand, eyes wandering for other's of her own kind that might be watching. She saw one man, obviously a vampire she both recognized his scent and his face. She ducked behind her own hand, desperate for some sort of cover.
"Please come on and make up your mind." God, there was no need to get so annoyed, she thought. No need to feel impatience wearing at the thin edges of your sanity. There was better things to feel annoyed about.
"Dammit, let's go then."
The man had sniffed the air, quite obviously and seemed to catch the scent of her in the middle of the crowd. As the pretty brunette spoke his eyes slid around looking for her. Jen turned back to Killian, and tugged his hand, pointing with her chin at the man.
"Come on!"

Killian smiled, happy to know that she was willing to still go somewhere after what just happened. He knew some girls that would get that bitchy attitude about the whole thing and find three hundred different ways to tell him no without actually saying it. It was a pleasant feeling to know that this girl, out of all the girls that he had encountered, that she would the only one to actually 'forgive' him or so he thought.
He watched as she got in front of him and told them to go. Killian smirked and gave a small laugh. It was funny how all of the sudden the other person just decides to take the lead out of nowhere. "Alright." he said in between laughing.
As they kept walking, of course Jen was still a little bit in front of him, still holding on to each other's hand. Killian quickly matched his stride with hers with little effort. Feeling the coldness of her skin, the wereleopard placed his arm around her waist. It was just something that he had been doing to the dead and the living. He knew in his mind that his warmth wouldn't really help that much but he was willing to give it a small try. "I'm coming." he pronounced and began to lead her to his secret area.
Once they reached an abandoned park area with a locked gate, Killian easily slid through the small opening between each side of the gate. Still holding onto the Jen's hand, he looked around to make sure no one was in sight. Human or otherwise. The park that he had led the vampire to was special because, well because nobody was ever in there. Plus it had this fantastic view of the city if you get in the right tree. And that was what he was planning on. He hadn't really shown anybody but himself. So it was kinda of a special moment for him. "You ready?" he asked, his gaze finding her beautiful face.
